Unopened Bank Wrapped $5 Roll of 1948 Washington Quarters
This bank was in a suburb of Philadelphia. Note that both ends have an obverse dated 1948 showing. Also note that someone tore the corner of one end so the date could be exposed. The integrity of the roll is still intact. The roll is absolutely 100% unopened. Unopened bank wrapped rolls of 1940s dated Washington Quarters are scarce. Please check out my other U. (20) Unopened bank rolls new 2022 P Sally Ride quarters
These are new coins from the Federal Reserve bank and feature the new obverse with Georgie boy facing to the right. Lot of banging going on in the mint bags and in the coin rolling machines which leaves no coins in perfect condition. These coins were made to end up in pockets and in cash registers. That said, the coins I’m offering have not been searched or circulated and are in as good a condition as you will find. Rolls may contain (rarely) a couple of older quarters that got left in the Loomis rolling machine tub when the mint bag of brand new coins were dumped into the tub. Possible Silver or West Point. This is possible and never guaranteed, if you do find one let me know! I love to hear the feedback! As mentioned, these are bank sealed rolls (Primary Loomis rolls). Because of this they are unopened and unsearched. This means that I have no idea what is inside of them date, mint, silver or clad, ect. All I can assure is that there will be 40 coins in each roll. From rolls that I have opened (for personal collecting), I have seen a great variety of quarters in the 1900s along with state quarters in great condition. If you are looking for new uncirculated quarters ie. Full roll of 2022, please message me as sometimes I have some in stock and will not sell unless asked for, thanks. Original Bank Roll Unc/BU 1959 Washington Quarters All 40 coins Type B Reverse
Complete Roll BU 1959 Washington Quarters – all 40 coins are Type B Reverse. This was a unique and amazing find. Booming original luster and excellent surface quality. The coins have been in an old generation plastic tube since the early 70s. (See last couple pictures). Please note, the last 2 pictures are pictures of the entire hoard of 46 BU quarter rolls from which this roll was found in. The 3rd and 4th pictures from the end, (pic9 and 10), are a side by side comparison of a type A and type B reverse. Pictures 9 & 10 show 2 quarters side by side. The type B reverse is on the left and the type A reverse on the right in both photos. No other rolls or individual coins had any type B reverse quarters within. All of the rolls were dated 1958 to 1964 with the exception of one dated 1954-S. Some of the hubs with Type B reverse ended up being used on some business strikes in Philadelphia. Of them all the 1956 are considered downright rare. All type B reverses on any date are very scarce. More information can be found in the Cherrypickers Guide. I do not want to assign grades to these coins but I can pretty much guarantee from 20+ years experience the majority of these coins are gem or near gem. Unless roll MISREPRESENTED or I made a LISTING ERROR of some sort.
