Silver Washington Quarters – 1/4 Roll (10 Coins) – 1932 thru 1964. These Washington quarters might look familiar, as the design has been continually produced since 1932. However, all of these 90% silver quarters are now more than a half century old! They were only produced until 1964; circulation quarters made from 1965 on do not contain any silver. John Flanagan’s design was introduced for George Washington’s 200. Mintages in the first few years were low due to the Great Depression, but the Washington quarter quickly gained in popularity and is now one of the most recognizable American coins. Each 90% silver Washington quarter contains a little under one-fifth ounces of pure silver. Silver quarters were common in pocket change until the 1960s, when wise collectors picked them out of circulation and the US Mint eliminated silver from American coinage. They are still prized by both collectors and investors. Each coin was struck in highly pure 90% fine silver and comes in Good or Better (G+) condition.

Roll of Proof 90% Silver Washington Quarters, 40 coins. These are decent original Proofs with no crap or damaged material. Mixed dates late 1950’s to 1960’s, with duplication, some coins with light Cameo contrast on one or both sides. Most cut directly out of original Proof Sets that were sourced for other coins (mostly Lincoln Cents), and are out of old dealer back stock. Some coins will show light toning or haze as is common, which can easily be removed with a coin-safe solvent such as Alcohol or other if desired. Just too much of this stuff around in the “back room”, and I did not want to toss them into 90% Junk Silver if anyone had a use for them. Good Luck & Good Hunting!
